in Texas

I am in Texas with my cousins and havin fun. I have been to too many doctors but still have more to go to.

During this visit to Texas I have found out that I will always be deaf in my left ear and that stinks, I do hear pretty good out of my right ear so that is good. At first I was told I would have to wear a hearing aid in my right ear but then it was decided that I wouldn't, it would just increase noise and I don't need that. What I hate is that I stumble around some, the doctor for balance problems said that I would get better with therapy and training. She is a great doctor she ordered daddy to play soccer with me everyday and to get a wii fit YES! I was also told that I need to take Karate or Tae Kwan Do (hmmm not sure if they have that in Malawi or not)

I still get scared sometimes in public places but my parents are letting me get out and deal with it. My cool cousin Redonia is going to take me to a concert. I will take my specially made ear plugs that are made to help me with loud noises and water incase the noise gets too scary. If you talk to me out in public please look right at me so I can read your lips, that helps me a lot.

I have got lots of cards in the mail (and some money yippee). Thanks to everybody that has prayed for me. I still don't really understand how I could be well one day and deaf the next, that still scares me and the thought of going back to Africa really scares me. I know we are going back but I am scared.

Right now I am having fun with my all of my cousins and even went to laser tag with my cousin Gentry.

Timo,
What a blessing to see a post from you!
I've been following your illness through your "favorite aunt's" blog. Your family doesn't know me, but I have been praying daily for you. There is a car that I see on my morning run with the license plate "GO TIMO" - I had never seen it until you were sick, so I guess God put it there to remind me to pray for you!
Your honesty about being scared brought tears to my eyes, but it also gave me direction in how to pray.
God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you!

Timo, thanks for writing on your blog.....and for being honest about how you feel. I know you are going back to Africa....and you are going back so you can laugh in the devil's face and tell him that you are getting ALL YOUR STUFF BACK, maybe not exactly the same, but you are getting it all back. And if you stay very close to JESUS, HE is going to use you like none of us can even imagine!
I feel so special just to know you!! So, whenever you are ready, I am ready for you to IM with me and then tell me you are Timo and not Vicki. Blessings on you!!

Glad you are having a great time with cousins (and your favorite AUNT), Timo, in the great state of TEXAS! Thank you for sharing your feeling on the blog...it's so good to hear from you. It's been good to keep up with things through your mom and aunt, but it makes me happy to hear from you (especially since the last time I saw you, you were not exactly doing cartwheels!) You are still in our thoughts and prayers!

Hi Timo...it is so great to come here and find that you have put up a post! Thank the Lord. You don't know me, so I'll tell you how I KNOW you! *smile* First of all, prayer was requested for you at Ohio Family Camp where I was. I attend and am music director at the UPC church in Logan, Ohio. I've requested prayer for you and your family in every service since hearing of your illness and financial needs of your family. It is so wonderful to be a part of this tremendous family of God, Timo. He is so awesome and truly He is a prayer answering God. The Lord's best to you and your family and continued healing for you!! Timo it was great to see you out with your cousins recently. Bro Chris and I love you and your family bunches and bunches. Keep being honest with God about your fears...so He can hold your hand as you go forth.

I do have a question though...what is making you scared about going back to Africa? If you can find that answer you can with the Lord's help overcome that fear. Perfect love has no fear.

Hey Timo- I'm so glad your doing better! We were a little worried about you at times! I have prayed for you and I really beleive that God has turned the whole situation around. You know it could have been a whole lot worse than being deaf in one ear...even though that does stink! But you've come through, and your still alive:) Keep fighting!!

God Bless,

Timo,
I don't know if you remember me, but we spent some time with you in Gabs a years ago. We know your family well.
Our family has been keeping in touch with what is going on through your grandparents, but I am happy to run across your blog. God is good and will continue to bless you.
I am deaf in my right ear. Surgery was done years ago which allowed me to hear for a while, but after a month or two...it went again. You get used to that and eventually don't notice the difference anymore. Dealing with that along with the other things will be different for sure, but you can do it.
I loved you as a kid and I am sure I love you as a young man. You have a place to stay if you ever get to Hawaii.
Micah Sutton

WOW!!! When I read this my heart is SOOOOOO touched!!! Because I am over here in the U.S. having the SAME burden for African kids. Several years ago, God led me to some African refugee children that are over here. Although, there is not nearly as many here, i still feel that incredible burden and often find myself telling the Lord the same thing; I can't do this alone. There are SOOO many children, I NEED someone to help me- God PLEASE give someone else a BURDEN!!! God bless you my little brother!!! Keep this thing updated, I WANT to hear more about the children!!!

Just keep holding God's hand!!! He is gonna take care of you. He can use you NO MATTER WHAT!!! Those kids need you and God is gonna help you...He NEVER gives us more than we can bare!!!
